Nineteenth Street Health Ministry Set to Relaunch.

We are pleased to announce the relaunch of the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church Health Ministry, with the encouragement of Senior Pastor Peterman, Deacon Board Chair Shawn Davis-Wilensky, and Trustee Board Chair Karen Williamson. Brother Reginald Cole will chair the Health Ministry. Nineteenth Street's Health Ministry was established by Deaconess Mamie C. Montague in the 1970s and has a storied history and a rich legacy that the church is eager to carry forward. The Health Ministry will focus on health education and wellness, emphasizing the connection between a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Caring for each other is at the heart of our church, and we believe the Health Ministry should support that mission by creating a space where the benefits and strategies for healthy living are available.

The Health Ministry will need the support of the entire congregation. Soon, you will hear more about how to get involved in this ministry. We welcome your ideas and your involvement. We hope that the relaunch of the Health Ministry will both encourage and support the adoption of healthier lifestyles. We pray for God's blessings as we relaunch Nineteenth Street's Health Ministry, and we look forward to your participation in this effort.
