March is Women’s History Month. Its purpose is to raise awareness of, as well as, honor, the contributions and achievements of women in history, culture and society. This year’s theme is "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.”
Today is Palm Sunday.
You are invited to join us next Sunday, April 5, Resurrection Sunday, for the Children’s Easter Production. Come to the fellowship hall at 8 a.m. to enjoy our Youth as they display their creativeness.

The Helping Hand Club extends sincere thanks to everyone who has participated in its Mother’s Day project. If you have not yet finalized your plans, please join us in the fellowship hall immediately following the morning service to do so. All proceeds from this event will support projects including the Book Award (Scholarship) and church bus tags to name a few.

We had our last virtual Lenten service for the season last Wednesday, March 25.
The preacher for that service was the Rev. Robin Turner. The week before, March 18, the Rev. Jerry C. Cheatham Jr. brought the word. On March 11, the Rev. Leslie A. Wiley preached.
The Rev. Edward Turner preached on March 4. On February 25, the Rev. Christopher O. Crawford preached for the Lenten Service. We began our virtual Lenten Services with the Rev. Lorise White Wolfe on February 18. These are our Associate Ministers and each did a wonderful job in presenting to us thoughts to ponder.
The Progressive Adults’ next theatre outing is Saturday, April 18 to see “Young John Lewis” at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. Reserve tickets now with any Progressive Adults member.
Maundy Thursday Service is April 2 at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
The First Baptist Church of the City of Washington D.C. will be our guests for this service.

The Nineteenth Street Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Facilities and Grounds Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the Facilities and Grounds Supervisor is to oversee and help perform the maintenance, upkeep, and repairs of church-owned buildings, grounds,
