The survey does not ask questions about your personal health. The survey asks questions about the health topics you would like to have the Health Ministry highlight. Please Pick Up Your Mid-Year Giving Statements After Sunday Service TODAY!
Mid-Year Giving Statements can be picked up in the church vestibule after the worship service today. Please save us the postage cost
of mailing your statement. The Mid-Year Giving Statement covers giving from January through August 2026. Thank you for your donations thus far. We hope you will continue to give as generously as you can for the remaining months of the year. Every gift is greatly needed and much appreciated.
The Deaconess Board
is hosting a Grab & Go meal for its 34th Annual Deaconess Family Dinner on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Dinner sales end next Sunday.
You much purchase your meals in advance. The entries are fried chicken, barbecue ribs, baked salmon and vegetarian. The sides include a salad, green beans, yellow rice and a dinner roll. Pound cake is for dessert.
Tuesday Night Bible Study has resumed.
Reserve your tickets for the Progressive Adults next theatre outing, Friday, November 27, 2026, 2 p.m., at National Theatre to see “Hell’s Kitchen.” Music by Alicia Keys.
The Church School Annual Thanksgiving Project Has Begun. We prayerfully plan to provide 100 families or more, who would benefit from a Thanksgiving basket, with a Gift Card from Giant Food. We are asking each church ministry to donate $100 and ask church family and friends to make a donation of any amount. To make a donation, go to the church website, 19thstreetbc.org, or your smartphone to use one of the following APPs – Cash App, PayPal or Givelify. Checks should be made payable (and can be mailed to) Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, 4606 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011. Please indicate on the memo line and on the front of your mailing envelope, “Thanksgiving Project.” Further information concerning when we will begin collecting names of families who would benefit from a thanksgiving basket and the end date for collecting donations will be announced later.
The Jarvis Concert Is Sunday, October 4 at 1:30 P.M.
Join us in the sanctuary for a fun time of music of various styles. Featured artists include Marilyn Pulley, Dr. Malcolm Richardson, Susan Carter, Renaire Rivers Jr., Storee Denson and Deacon Burkette Lyburn and the All Together Gospel Singers. This is a fundraiser for the Jarvis Memorial Club. Admission is $20 and you must have a ticket to enter the concert. Ticket sales begin today. If you are unable to attend the concert, a donation would be appreciated. Thank You in advance.
The Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) of Fredericksburg, Virginia will celebrate its Homecoming on
Sunday, October 11. Their pastor, Rev. Dr. Aaron L. Dobynes, Sr. will preach for the morning service at 10 a.m. The afternoon message on their Homecoming Sunday will be delivered by our senior pastor, the Rev. Kevin Lamár Peterman and we have been invited to accompany him.
Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) is located at 801 Sophia Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401, about 60 miles south of Washington, DC. The bus will leave Nineteenth Street at 12 noon to arrive at Shiloh (Old Site) in time for dinner at 2 p.m. The afternoon service begins at 3 p.m.
The bus will depart Shiloh (Old Site) to return to Nineteenth Street no later than 6 p.m.
We plan to charter a luxury 40-passenger bus at a cost of $45 per person. Those interested in attending and riding on the bus are asked
to begin signing up in the church office. If you plan to attend and will not be riding the bus, please let us know. We will need to give a count for dinner.
Next Sunday, October 4 is Communion Sunday.
