Global Missions Ministry
Global Missions Ministry is founded on the Great Commission proclaimed in Matthew 28:19-20. Since 2003 we have traveled to other nations to spread the love of Jesus Christ. Presently, we have ministries in Burkina Faso, Jamaica, Kenya, Nicaragua, and Haiti. Even when we cannot have face-to-face ministries, our work continues through partnerships that we have developed in each country.
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
(Matthew 28:19-20)
In Burkina Faso, we continue to help support Orphans and Vulnerable Children. In Jamaica, we are working with Rev. Vanya Grant as he establishes a new church. In Nicaragua, we are giving support to a young seminary student as well as to his church family. In Kenya in 2021, we joined Ark of Hope Community Center’s Kenya Well Project, and Rev. Dr. Cheryl Coleman Hall preached and conducted workshops with Maasai women. Haiti has been a special focus in recent years. In 2021, we completed our fifth and final Haiti Walk 5K, our fundraiser to support VillageMED in building a much-needed pediatric clinic in Layaye, Haiti.

Each year in September Global Missions Ministry Sunday is held to celebrate and glorify God for the opportunity given us to serve in carrying out the Great Commission. We share with the congregation information on our recent activities and seek support for our initiatives. In 2024, we hosted the Global Marketplace and the Walking Together 5K Walk to support missions abroad and social justice here at home. The previous year, we hosted a fundraising concert titled My Soul Thirsts for God to support the Kenya Well Project.
We appreciate the generous support and welcome anyone who would like to become a member of Global Missions Ministry. In addition to people who travel, we need people for activities here at home, including for fundraising walks and membership recruitment.
