Honoring the Legacy, Heralding the Future:
A Celebration of Pastor and People
Installation Events for Rev. Kevin Lamár Peterman
Jeremiah 3:15: “And I will give you pastors according to my heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
Since our founding 186 years ago, Nineteenth Street Baptist Church has been a sanctuary, connecting and strengthening a community of believers and advancing a legacy of social justice. Today, we joyfully enter a new season, sustained by our faith and encouraged for the future, under our new pastor, Rev. Kevin Lamár Peterman.
Rev. Peterman is a shepherd with a heart for ministry and a passion for justice. He has devoted his life to lifting communities, empowering congregations, and proclaiming God’s Word with purpose and compassion.
Our installation theme, Honoring the Legacy, Heralding the Future: A Celebration of Pastor and People, reflects our commitment to moving forward as one congregation under Rev. Peterman’s leadership. This celebration honors both the journey and the promise: the faithfulness of those who came before and the bold vision God has for our future.
We hope you will join us.
